The BEST calamari ring I’ve ever had, REAL seafood, the crust was so thin and Chrissy, so good, not some frozen shit. Also ordered grilled fish and salad, the fish portion is a bit small, not sure is it the standard ? Salad is tasty Helpful and friendly staff
Excellent fish and chips made to perfection by a super efficient team. It was a busy night and we got our order surprisingly quick. The fish cocktails in the Seafood Basket were chunks of fresh fish and not an after thought like many other fish and chips shops. The mark of a quality establishment. The Barramundi was huge and super fresh, the batter was super light and crispy and their potato cakes were excellent too.
Tasty food, very generous sizes. Pineapple fritters are absolutely delicious and double layered pineapple. Definitely pre order via phone or online during busy periods
4 types of fish. Battered crumbed or grilled to order. The sturdy box in which the food is packaged makes for ready transport and heart retention. Excellent quality and cake for money.
This has to be the best fish and chips I have tried so far. The fish fillet was big and the batter was just perfect. The calamari rings were so fresh and perfectly crumbed. The chips were really good. We got a box of small chips which was the size of extra large somewhere else. The only thing that I can think of is the amount of chicken salt on the chips but I always have a stash in my car so that's not a problem. If you are visiting the area then please go visit this place because their food is exceptional and we need to support the businesses like this one. 110% recommended.
Can definitely recommend salt mine fish and chips. Got a fresh grilled flathead fillet that was cooked perfectly, proper tassie scallops and great calamari rings. Friendly and quick service. Well presented shop.
My family enjoys fish & chips at Salt Mine twice a week. The service is great. The food is yummy. It's definitely the best fish & chips in PORT STEPHENS. At CHRISTmas time it's busy, which is understandable for such a popular tourist area. It's definitely worth the wait
The fish and chips and side dishes here were amazing. I would say they're the best fish and chips I've ever had! It's the first time I've ever felt the smell of good oil, and the freshness of the fish, the freshness of the shrimp and squid, is by far the best. Also, there's even a very friendly staff here! Go ahead!!
